It has been over 13 years since Trick’s Treat came to the screens. Since then, the fans have been anticipating over a second part of the movie. In an interview conducted last year, Michael Dougherty, who is the director, expressed his thoughts on a second movie. He said that the moment Legendary says they are interested, we would go for. The main reason for such a long delay is the commitments Michael had after the first movie. He went on to direct Godzilla and many others. However, he also continued by saying that “At the same time, I think there’s something to be said about not equalizing it. In a business that is obsessed with franchising and spinoffs and prequels and sequels, maybe there’s something to be said about leaving it alone. ” This not wholly dismiss the idea for a second part. Fans can still hope for another one.

Overview
Five actions lead to five unfortunate events on the night of Halloween on the same block. Emma, who blows out a jack-o-lantern on the night of Halloween, which is against the tradition, is found dead by her boyfriend. His principal poisons Charlie after he was caught stealing candy. He then buries the body in the backyard along with another one.
The third event happens when a prank is performed by four children on a girl names Rhonda, but this turns to a zombie murder when they take Rhonda to a quarry where a school bus massacre had taken place. The children who died there comes back to life and kill all the four children leaving Rhonda, who escapes through an elevator. Laurie, who is taken by her elder sister to a party, is attacked by a vampire who later on reveals to be Wilkins disguised with fake teeth. His body is dropped from a tree to the party, and Laurie appears, and all the girls turn into werewolves. They then devour their dates whom they picked up on the way along with Wilkins.
The final part of the movie shows a boy named Sam, who is dressed in shabby pajamas with a jack-o-lantern as his head. He is the main link between all the incidents that happened as he was present when it all happened. He attacks a man called Kreeg. Kreeg was the driver of the school bus massacre that killed eight mentally challenged kids. He tries to defend himself but gets stabbed by Sam. Later, when he answers his door, he sees all the eight children who were dead there. The kids finally got their revenge.

Dougharty had shared that the development of Trick ‘r Treat 2 was happening, but it had stalled due to his other commitments. At present, he has left it to Legendary to decide whether or not they want a second part. While there is very little hope since the first movie released years back and many things have changed. It can either be a continuation of a whole new plot.
