Into the night Season 2: release date, plot, cast and characters

into the night

Into the night is a sci-fi thriller series premiered on Netflix. It is created by Jason George. The show first aired on May 1st, 2020. It based on the novel “The Old Axolotl” written by Jacek Dukaj, and it is set during an apocalyptic time. The original language of the show is English.

Although no official release date has been announced, Netflix has already given the green light to continue the show. Fans might have to wait till June or July for an official announcement. Judging by the response to the first season, it’ll be worth the wait!

Into the Night Plot

The series revolves around the struggles of the survivors of a deadly global event that nearly wipes out humanity. Some of the survivors happened to be on an aircraft that was hijacked and forced into an early takeoff. Stefano Cassetti plays the hijacker who happens to be an Italian NATO soldier.

The first season seemed too eventful and exciting. However,  the series has only scraped the surface of its potential and barely dipped into the book it’s inspired by. The book includes new ways in which the survivors walk around in daylight without experiencing the deadly effects of the rays and even a potential cure.

Cast and characters of Into the Night

The same cast as the first season is expected going into season 2, which includes:

  • Pauline Etienne as Sylvie Bridgette
  • Laurent Capelluto as Mathieu Daniel Douek
  • Stefano Cassetti as Terenzio Matteo Gallo
  • Mehmet Kurtuluş as Ayaz Kobanbay
  • Babetida Sadjo as Laura Djalo
  • Jan Bijvoet as Richard “Rick” Mertens
  • Ksawery Szlenkier as Jakub Kieslowski
  • Vincent Londez as Horst Baudin

Into the Night Season 2

As a story with immense potential and a perfectly apt cast for the roles, the series seems like it’ll blow up once season 2 comes out. It’s a very interesting concept that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats throughout. So, it’s definitely going to be worth the wait!
