Motorola’s most awaited flagship device Moto X (2014) went on sale on Flipkart.com from September 24, midnight. As few months back the company unveiled its Moto G, this is the second big launch from Motorola and the Indian online retail giant Flipkart.com, this year. In addition to it, the company has released a new software update for Moto G (2014) that is rolling out in India and some other regions as well. The update brings Google Now Launcher to the device, and it is available as an OTA (over-the-air) update.

The second –gen device is ₹8,000 dearer than the first-gen, and its prices start at ₹31,999 for the base black variant while the black black leather back and the bamboo white variants are priced at ₹33,999.

Moto X (2014) boasts a 2.5 GHz QUALCOMM Snapdragon quad-core processor supplied with 2GB RAM. Its 13 MP rear camera is powered by dual LED flash for low light capturing and has a 2 MP of front facing camera. The smartphone boasts 16 GB of storage (nonexpendable) and has a 5.2” Full HD (1080p) display with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and it is quite easy to operate with one hand. The device runs on unmodified Android v4.4.4 (KitKat), and it will get updated as soon as Google officially releases the code.

The Big Red Verizon, a network service provider company, started selling the Moto X second-gen on a contract basis for its US customers. The carrier offers a two-year service contract at a starting price of $99.
