K.K. Slider or Totakeke Slider, is a fictional character in the Animal Crossing franchise. K.K. Slider debuted in the title Animal Crossing in 2011 and has appeared in every instalment since then. K K. Slider is a dog who works as a musician, and plays songs on his guitar.
As is in the past titles, you can allow K.K. to play the songs of his choice. Or, you can request him to play a specific song. You can purchase K.K. Slider’s songs at the NooK Shopping terminal. But there are a few “secret” songs K.K. plays only on request. And if you want to purchase those, you will have to request for them specifically.
How to unlock K.K. Slider in Animal Crossing?
K.K. Slider is a performing artist and hence he travels a lot for his concerts. He will visit your island once a week, but in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you’ll have to prove to K.K. Slider that your island is worth a visit.
For this, in order to convince the dog artist, you will have to raise the island’s star rating to three stars. When you achieve the three star rating for your island, you will unlock a number of rewards, including terraforming.
For your island evolution, Isabelle will instruct you how to achieve it, in order to improve the star rating. Once the rating is up to the mark, Isabelle will receive a note from K.K. that he has heard about the island. Tom Nook will then invite K.K. to perform, and the performance will happen the very next day.
How to get K.K. Slider’s songs in Animal Crossing?
Once K.K. Slider visits your island after its evolution for the first time, he will be back every week on Saturday to perform in front of Residential Services. If Saturday is already booked for an event like the Fishing Tourney, then K.K. will visit on Friday instead.
K.K. will take your requests during the concerts only post 6pm onwards and the rest of the time he will play whatever he wishes to.
You’ll be able to choose from three options to which K.K. will play after 6 p.m. for you. This includes
- I’ll leave it up to you!’
- ‘I’m in a mood…’
- ‘Gimme that one song’
If you choose I’ll leave it up to you!, K.K. will jam to whatever song he wishes to.
