Plot

The first and second season was set in Minnesota and North Dakota. The first season shows the plot happening in the year 2006. The cast included Billy Bob Thornton, Allison Tolman, Colin Hanks, and Martin Freeman. The story is based on a series of murders that this team solves.
The second season involves a triple homicide at a local diner. Meanwhile, the State Trooper played by Patrick Wilson, and his father-in-law, a sheriff played by Ted Danson investigates the murders. Season 3 was based on theft by a couple and the mess that it led them to.
Season 4 is set in Kansas City, Missouri, and manifests a crime syndicate of black migrants fleeing from Jim Crow South and has connections with the Kansas City mafia.
