You Season 3: confirmed or cancelled? Here’s what you need to know

You series is once again coming back to the streaming sites as the series with Penn Badgley as the lead star has been updated for a renewal.

Considering the popularity of the show, it was known that the series would be updated for the third season. Season 2 had carried out the cliffhanger from the first season and developed a new story of Joe Goldberg’s obsession and his bizarre cum creeping stalking habits.

In season 2, Joe had presented himself as Will Bettelheim, and he tries to escape from the view of Candace which in the first season we had presumed was dead. This time his love interest is Love Quinn. In an interesting turn of events, we find that Love is no better than Joe, in fact, more sinister. She murders Candace and Delilah in order to save her relationship with Joe Goldberg.

So, what does season 3 have in store for us? Here’s what you need to know

Season 3 of You: release date

The third season is to premiere on the streaming services sometime in layer 2021, with the shooting beginning around February.

But, you would be interested and happy beyond bounds to know that Caroline Kepnes is releasing the third book in the series soon. Titled as You Love Me, this book will be released on April 6, 2021.

Sera Gamble who is the executive producer has said:

“I will say that we have an idea for season three that is SO exciting that people talk about it in the [writer’s] room every day.”

This gives us a hope that something major will happen in season 3 that will make the series of events more interesting for us, so much so that we would want more sequels to it.

Season 3 of You: Cast

The show if not all, but is mostly about Joe Goldberg hence Penn Badgley will definitely be on board.

Love Quinn by Vitoria and Forty Quinn by James Scully will also be back to carry on their roles.

We had also seen Dr Nicky by John Stamos making an appearance from behind bars. He is still not aware of Joe’s real name and identity and we have a strong feeling that this will form one of the centre plots in season 3.

The real Will (Robin Lord Taylor) could also return to the season as he is now Joe’s friend. Lucy by Marielle Scott, Sunrise by Melanie Field and Gabe by Charlie Barnett is still alive and will be back to the show, we assume.

Meanwhile, till season 3 returns to our screens, you can watch the first and the second season on Netflix.
