The second season of the American thriller TV series, You initially was aired on July 26, 2018. On December 3, 2018, it was announced that the network didn’t agree on the second season and that the series would move to Netflix as a Netflix Original series.The 10-episode second season is mostly based on the novel Hidden Bodies written by Caroline Kepnes, and got completely released on Netflix on December 26, 2019.
What happens in Season 2?
Well, following season 1, months of being suspicious of Joe, Peach was shot by the bookstore manager, leaving a suicide note on her computer, leading the police and everyone to believe that she killed herself. Upset and confused about the death of her friend, Beck stays extremely away from Joe and the pair make decision to take a break in their weird romance.
Three months later, Joe is dating someone else. Joe then finds out Beck knows his secret, locks her in a book locker and finally kills her. Four months later, Candace rocks up at the bookstore and tells Joe that they have a lot to discuss.
In the second season, Joe Goldberg changes his hometown from New York to Los Angeles to get away from his past, and thinks of starting his life with a new identity. After he meets chef Love Quinn, Joe starts to get into his old ways of obsession and violence. As Joe tries to work a new love, he struggles to make his relationship with Love, succeed at all costs, to get rid of his past romantic life.
Joe looks like he’s striving to get himself better, but he hasn’t left from his murderous ways. From holding a knife, about to chop a body up in a professional kitchen, to walk around with his signature cage, with a bloodied up victim left inside, Joe is still up to no good.
