Tony Award-nominated actor Nick Cordero passed away at the age of 41 after battling with the novel coronavirus. Broadway star took his last breath on Sunday morning at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after more than three months in hospital. The “Mob Town” star
Cordero’s wife confirmed his demise on her Instagram account with a snap of her late husband. And she also wrote a heartfelt note to express her devastation. She penned “God has another angel in heaven now. My darling husband passed away this morning.” And then Kloots added “He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth. I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere. Furtherer, she added that “My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him. Nick was such a bright light. He was everyone’s friend, loved to listen, help and especially talk. He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Elvis and I will miss him in everything we do, every day,”
The Mob Town star admitted in the hospital on March 30 and has severe medical complication including blood clots, leg amputation, infections in his lungs, a temporary pacemaker implanted, a tracheostomy and mini stokes. Apart from that, the actor also had been on a ventilator and unconscious.
The Canadian-born actor Nick got married to Amanda Kloots in September 2017, and they also shared a child Elvis Eduardo with each other.
Kloots made all the best possible efforts to keep her husband alive, even she shared regular updates about the ups and downs of her husband’s recovery with her followers through her social media account.
The fans are really worried and they are performing dance on Live your Life in all good hopes with hashtags like #WakeUpNick, #OffTheVent or #CodeRocky. He showed improvement but ultimately couldn’t survive.
Nick was the brilliant actor who also garnered a Tony Award nomination in 2014 for his outstanding performance in Bullets Over Broadway where he played the role of a mob soldier with a flair. Apart from that, he was also involved in productions of Rock of Ages, A Bronx Tale and Waitress. In spite of that, Cordero also appeared in many episodes of Blue Bloods and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Lilyhammer, and he was also in the film Going in Style.
