About Wonder Woman 1984
Wonder Woman 1984 is an American superhero movie based on DC Comics. It is the sequel of Wonder Woman, which was released in 2017. The movie is directed by Patty Jenkins. Along with Patty, the story is also written by Geoff Johns and David Callaham.
The story revolves around Diana Prince, an immortal demigoddess, Amazon princess, and a warrior. Her mother Hippolyta is the Amazonian queen of Themyscira, and her father is Zeus, the king of the Olympian Gods. In the first part, Diana was shown leaving Themyscira and coming to the human world. She learned about the complexities of human life.
This sequel is set in 1984 during the Cold War. Diana Prince, played by Gal Gadot, finds herself in conflict with two ominous enemies. One of them is Maxwell Lord, a media businessman. The second one is Barbara-Ann-Minerva, also known as The Cheetah. Barbara and Diana were friends once; however, Barbara is now a friend turned enemy. Meanwhile, Diana tries to sort and reunite with her partner Steve Trevor. In the previous part, Trevor was presumed to be dead.
Release date of Wonder Woman 1984
The development for Wonder Woman 1984 began as early as the release of the first movie in 2017. Subsequently, the filming began in June 2018 with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Moreover, the work was completed by the end of 2019. The release date of Wonder Woman 1984 has shifted many times from December 2019 to October 2020. One of the delays was due to the industrial shut following the pandemic. However, the final release date for Wonder Woman 2020 is 25 December 2020.

On the postponement, Patty Jenkins said, “First and foremost let me say how much Gal and I love all our devoted Wonder Woman fans around the world… Because I know how important it is to bring this movie to you on a big screen when all of us can share the experience together, I’m hoping you won’t mind waiting just a little bit longer. With the new date on Christmas Day, we can’t wait to spend the holidays with you!”
The trailer was released worldwide in August 2020. However, the craze resurfaced with the release of the Japanese trailer of the movie. The trailer reveals Wonder Woman’s new shining gold armour with the wings. Hence, this new trailer has made it difficult to wait for Wonder Woman 1984.
