Some good news is coming for the Sherlock fans. According to some media reports, Netflix is planning to come up with another new season of the British Comedy-cum-crime drama “Sherlock.”Based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s detective series Sherlock Holmes, the series bragged wonderful records, including a Peabody award in 2011. The first two seasons even had a viewership of 8 million in just ten days.
The new Season 5 will likely be the sequel of Sherlock season 4. We hope to see Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as Doctor. We can see Sian Brooke as Eurus Holmes, Sherlock’s sister, and many more new faces likely to show up in this season.
It had already been unveiled in season 4 that Sherlock Holmes had a second thought about Redbeard, his compatriot who had been murdered by sherlock’s sister Eurus. The next season will pick up where it has been left in season 4. The last season has been over by 2017, and a lot has been changed in the contemporary world. Based on past experience, it is likely that this season will come up with something fresh. It might makes sherlock appear more mysterious, with Cumberbatch into the character himself. Considering Holmes was dead for a time, then suddenly showed up alive, the long wait for the show to resume almost have a meta connection.
The 5th season will very likely pull in assurance to the fact that Holmes will be a more humane person, albeit Cumberbatch’s version portrayed differently from the book. Sherlock was known for as a “consulting detective” besides being infested him as gay. The previous series threw a sure hint of his wannabe a relationship with Watson. There can be some developments on this path as well.
However, there is no official statement about the 5th season of Sherlock. Any official trailer has not been published yet. There has been a formal delay in its production owing to the coronavirus pandemic, and sources reveal that we can expect the trailer only in 2021 while the show itself may be aired sometimes in 2022 or 2023.
