Is it true? Johnny Depp and Amber Heard getting back together? Well, let’s find out.
We are well aware of the ongoing cold war between the two stars and the repercussions they are facing of their divorce. It all started in 2016 with Amber Heard calling out her husband as “verbally and physically abusive”. Their divorce immediately caught the attention of many and it took the internet by fire. A huge portion of the public started sympathizing with Heard on the basis of her claims, and begun campaigns against Depp. Johnny Depp was bad-mouthed, as a result of which he soon was labelled as a “wife-beater” by the newspapers and media. Heard withdrew her claims when her divorce was finalized and was paid a hefty amount of $7 million by Depp. They issued a joint statement saying, “Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm.” But their war didn’t end there. Amber Heard went ahead and published an article in The Washington Post titled, “I spoke up against sexual violence — and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change.” That was when Johnny Depp decided to break his silence and leniency over the matter.
Soon Depp sued Heard for $50 million for defamation and declined all the claims made by Heard. In fact, Depp made a public statement and submitted documents for the same, claiming that it was Heard who was physically abusive towards him and not the other way around. Heard denied all the claims made by Depp. Earlier this year, Depp released a bunch of audio recordings between him and Heard, in support of his claims. Later he even cited an incident in the court, that happened in Australia, where Heard threw a vodka bottle at him, which severed the tip of one of his fingers. He even provided evidences for the same, which Heard denied for obvious reasons and indicated that Depp cut his finger himself.
A lot of celebrities have come out in support of Heard; the most prominent name being Elon Musk, who was rumored having an affair with Heard while Depp and Heard were still together. The former partners of the Pirates of The Caribbean actor, Winona Ryder and Vanessa Paradis, came in his support, mentioning that “it is impossible to believe that such horrific allegations are true”.
So, are Johnny Depp and Amber Heard getting back together? Well, we don’t think so. The case, however, is still going on and the court has not come up with a conclusion yet.
