Season 17 of the American TV medical play Grey’s Anatomy was issued on the 10th of May 2019, by American Broadcasting Company. The season is all set to launch on the 12th of November 2020.
After the 16th part completed in March with only four episodes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fans & many viewers have been eagerly waiting to know when Grey’s Anatomy’s come back and its other nitty-gritty details.
Some weeks ago, Ellen Pompeo, who performs the main role of Meredith Grey in this show, posted a snapshot on Instagram of co-star Richard Flood (Dr. Cormac Hayes) and herself putting on scrubs and face masks.
She wrote the caption as – ‘First time back in my scrubs. Since we locked down the shooting, 7000+ healthcare operators have passed away from coronavirus. I dedicate my season 17 to all those who have fallen and to every one of you who by the grace of God is still withstanding strong. This season is especially for you with humility and a bit of humor to get us through and endless amounts of honor. Hope we do you proud.’
When is Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 arriving?
Ellen said to the fans with this Instagram post but the date officially was released later by ABC in a press release on the 18th of September. They declared that it will be making a comeback with a two-hour season 17 launch episode on Thursday, 12th of November at 9 p.m. ET.
ABC also shared a moving poster of Grey’s Anatomy 17th part on Twitter.
Who Will be Return for Season 17?
All the lead roles from season 16 are expected to make a come back for season 17, except – Justin Chambers.
In January 2020, Justin, who played Dr. Alex Karev since Grey’s Anatomy‘s season 1, declared that he will not be returning for its 17th part. According to The Hollywood Reporter, to replace Justin, the show introduced two fresh casts, Dr. Winston Ndugu (Anthony Hill) and Dr. Cormac Hayes (Richard Flood). Rest is expected to make as a usual entry in Grey’s Anatomy season 17.
What could happen in Season 17?
Season 17 will resume the love triangle between DeLuca, Meredith, and Cormac with much more confusion, making it quite exciting to watch. Also, Jo will not moan about Alex anymore and will be seen living a happier and peaceful life in Grey’s Anatomy 17th part. Along with that, Maggie and Winston’s relationship is also expected to bloom, much to the delight of its fans.
