Netflix web series Sex Education has gained global success as soon as it aired on the online streaming service. Two seasons of the popular series Sex Education have already aired and fans are dying to see the third season of Sex Education. However, here’s some bad news for the series lover, as per the latest reports, production of Sex Education series 3 has been delayed amid coronavirus pandemic.
Coronavirus outbreak has hit nearly all the parts of Earth and the majority of the countries including UK is in lockdown which has badly affected the shoot of all the shows. Nearly, all the shows whose shooting has to be done or still in process will miss its scheduled launch and will witness a significant delay for the same reason.
Comedy-drama Sex Education easily made it to Netflix’s Top Ten most popular series of 2019 both in the UK and US. Netflix usually monitors the performance of any series for a month before deciding to start the production of its sequel. Since the series was already very popular among fans globally, the production team had already started its shooting.

“I’ve started writing series three, but that’s just a very normal part of the process because we work on such tight schedule, and season three hasn’t been greenlit yet or officially commissioned. It was a wonderful surprise, but I really didn’t see it coming. In a lot of ways, I just feel like I live in that teenage world,” said the show’s creator and writer Laurie Nunn.
Sex Education season 3 release date: When will it air?
Season 1 and Season 2 of Sex Education aired in the month of January 2019 and 2020 respectively. We could’ve easily assumed the launch of third season in January 2021, but due to COVID-19 effect, the will get delayed. Reports suggest that Sex Education season 3 might get released somewhere around July 2021.
