Renewal of Stranger Things 4?
On September 30th,2019 Netflix, at last, confirmed that Stranger things would be getting a season 4 and tweeted “#StrangerThings has been renewed for a fourth season!! Additionally, series creators and showrunners The Duffer Brothers have signed a multi-year film and series overall deal with Netflix! “.The announcement came up with a teaser which said, “we are not in Hawkins any more”. Season 4 will be released at some point in 2021 as the production has been ramping up lately after being shut down in early 2020. Stranger things is one of the biggest shows from Netflix which was firstly released in July 2016.
What to expect and who’s returning?
For the first time in show history, the filming will take place outside Atlanta although most of it will once again take place in Atlanta. The fourth season will be receiving 8 episodes as of season one and three, and on November 7th which is Stranger Things day Stranger writers Twitter account disclosed the name of the first episode being “Chapter one: The Hellfire club” and the writers of the episode.
After the ending of season three, we could expect many things from the upcoming season:
- Who is “The American”, as teased in the teaser we can expect Jim Hopper to be alive so is that him only to be referred to as “The American” and where is he? and how did he manage? to survive and much more.
- Are El and the Byres returning to Hawkins? after a sad and tearful goodbye to their friends would they be coming back or maybe mike and the party are going to visit them?
- How is the upside down’s evil Mindflayer is going to return? are the Russians going to help him or is it him only?
- Russians and their taming of a Demogorgon, have Russians kept and trained a Demogorgon for some reason? let’s wait and watch.
Will there be another season or this is the last one?
Looking beyond the events of season 4 is pretty difficult as we don’t know how things will end up this time.
Shawn Levy, however, has spoken about the future loss of the show saying:
“I mean I will say we have a good sense of stuff that happens in season 4. Season 4 is definitely happening. There’s very much the possibility of a season beyond that one, that’s currently undecided. And what I would just say is part of the chaos and fun of this particular show is that while the Duffers and the writer’s room and we producers outline the entire season, the Duffers really use the writing process to revisit, reassess and question all of their prior assumptions.”
Further, He added, “So even though we always start off with a good sense of the major arcs of the season. We’re always ready for shifts and surprises because if the Duffers stumble into a different or surprising inspiration while they rewrite the script, we’re going to follow that inspiration and throw out some ideas in order to embrace some new ones that are more exciting. And I have no doubt that season 3 will be no exception”
