It is safe to say that no animated characters come even close to being as popular as evil mastermind Gru’s yellow, troublemaking army of minions. Almost every kid in the 21st century knows about them. You can find minion products everywhere – minion stuffed toys, minion water bottles, minion stickers, and even minion shaped pencil pouches.
All of this only goes to show how much the fans anticipate a movie from the ‘Despicable Me’ franchise, and we’re about to get one soon.

When is Minions 2 Coming Out?
Minions came out on July 10, 2015 in the United States. Its sequel, Minions 2 was set to release earlier this year on July 3, but due to unforeseen complications (yes, we’re talking about the pandemic) the studio pushed the release later on to July 2, 2021.
As for the trailer for Minions 2, expect it to release a month or so before the movie hits the big screens.
What Will Minions 2 be About?
The script for Minions 2 is set in stone, but the studio has been careful so as not to leak anything from the official plot. Leaving us a little clueless as to what will go down in the sequel.
Judging from the ending of the first movie, in which the army of little yellow minions ended up following a teen Gru after he foiled the plan of their previous mentor Scarlet Overkill to steal the crown of The Queen of England.
Minions 2 will probably follow the minions relationship with their new master and show us how Gru uses his new friends to carry out his sinister plans. Remember, the sequel to Minions will most likely be a prequel to Despicable Me, meaning Gru will still be up to his evil shenanigans.
Who Will be in the Upcoming Movie?
Pierre Coffin will most likely return to give voice to the minions, although it has not yet officially been confirmed. He has played some iconic Minions characters in previous films such as Kevin, Stuart, and Bob.
