Trailer Park Boys is a documentary-like television series. The show centres on the main trailer park residents, some of whom are former prison mates, staying in a made-up Sunnyvale Trailer Park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The TV series is a continuation of Clattenburg’s 1999 film under the same title. It was aired on the Showcase in 2001. The series includes four films namely, The Movie, which came out on October 6, 2006; Countdown to Liquor Day, on September 25, 2009; and Don’t Legalize It, on April 18, 2014. The 7th and last season of the series’ original run on Showcase completed in 2007, with its finale, “Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys”, released as a one-hour special episode on December 7, 2008.
What is the show all about?
The show ‘Trailer Park Boys’ is centred around the lives and difficulties faced by the three most important residents of Sunnyvale trailer park: Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles, they always get into some trouble with the cops and the alcoholic trailer park supervisor Jim Lahey and his assistant Randy.
The show is created in a mockumentary format, which says that the episodes are created by parts of the camera crew staying around the lead characters and keep interviewing at any time. On its first release, the show was expected to be an experimental comedy but it really made up the name for mockumentary comedy shows.
When will season 13 come out?
The official Trailer Park Boys Facebook page announced that the filming is under process. It began on October 1, 2019, then posts started to come out on that page that the TPB is returning the show. Fans started asking that if they stopped the cartoon for another new live season. Mike Smith, who plays Bubbles, posted on his Instagram on September 29, that filming started on 5th October.
There’s no news about the current filming status of upcoming seasons of the TPB. Only the audience is making speculations. Though, Recently Netflix has announced the renewal of the animated series. So we might expect it in early or fall of 2021.
