Watchmen: When is the second season releasing? Click to read more about the major details

Watchmen is an American superhero action and drama web series created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbone. The mini series is based on 1986 DC Comics of the same title. Watchman has been written and produced by Damon Lindelof for the channel HBO. The series, Watchmen debuted on HBO on 20 October 2019, and concluded the season with nine episodes on 15 December 2019.

Watchman has received positive reviews from critics and audience worldwide. It was appreciated for its take on the subject of racism, and the long forgotten 1921 Tulsa race massacre. The series has received many nominations for several awards, including Primetime Emmy Awards and won 11 awards out of 26 nominations.

After the first season of Watchmen, Lindelof left the position of writer because he did the intended work for the series, and that was his story to tell. Until now, there’s no other writer assigned for the second installment of Watchmen. HBO confirmed that there are no plans as such for the season two of Watchmen.

So, there’s no official confirmation about Watchmen 2.

Storyline of Watchmen

The series is set after 34 years of the original story within the same alternate reality. Watchman takes place in the year 2019 and focuses on the event of racist violence in Tulsa. A group of white supremacist known as Seventh Cavalry takes up the situation in their hands. The group is inspired by Rorschach’s writing, they wear masks, wage against the police, and fight for the rights of minorities.

If a second season happens then the plot will be full of twist and turns, and it might pick up from the finale episode of the first season of Watchmen.
