Venom 2 is now officially titled as Venom: Let There Be Carnage, will arrive in June 2021

The sequel to the 2018 film ‘Venom’ is in development. Titled as Venom: Let There Be Carnage’s release date has been pushed from October of this year to June 2021. The sequel is being directed by Andy Serkis, with a sequel by Kelly Marcel. Sony Pictures is distributing the sequel, Venom: Let there be Carnage. Starring Tom Hardy in the lead role, this movie is an adaptation of the of a comic book by Randy Schueller.

When will Venom 2 hit the theatres?

Andy Serkis, the director of the movie talks about the delay in the release.”I started editing and then we had to shut down. The editor flew back to the States and I’ve been editing remotely. It’s no bad thing because we can spend more time with the visual effects and, ultimately, it’s probably better for the movie.”

Sony Pictures has delayed the release of the movie from its original schedule. Venom 2 was originally scheduled to release on 2nd October 2020. Now the release date has been delayed by 8 months. The premiere date is pushed back to 25th June 2021 in the UK and the US.

What can we expect from the upcoming Venom sequel?

Not much has been revealed about what we can expect from the plot. But it is rumoured that the movie will feature a Spider-Man crossover episode. This has been speculated from the Instagram photo teased by Tom Hardy which shows the appearance of Spider-Man. Tom Hardy had deleted the photo seconds later but it was enough to raise speculations about the upcoming Venom movie.

Venom 2 is featuring a star-studded cast. This includes

• Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock / Venom,

• Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady /

• Carnage, Michelle Williams as Anne Weying,

• Reid Scott as Dan Lewis and

• Naomie Harris as Shriek.

Besides this ensemble cast members, Stephen Graham and Sean Delaney are also on the official cast list but their roles have not been disclosed for the sequel to Venom.

Andy Serkis has confirmed that the upcoming movie is an “extraordinary piece of cinema”. This raises the expectation for the upcoming movie, Venom: Let there be Carnage. The sequel will focus on the relationship between Eddie and Venom, how these two sides figure out to live together.
