Vampire Diaries is not coming up with any new season. The audience should stay away from the humor of season 9 being renewed by the creators. On some social media platforms, there has been the news floating that season 9 will be premiered soon. All this is just humor. After season 8, which was released in 2017, no developments have been seen. No official announcement has been made by the creators nor the exact reason being given them.

In an interview, Ian Somerhalder quoted that he is too young to play the sexiest sensational role of Vampire. He clearly rejects to have to come back for season 9. Nina Dobrev also shared that she is not coming back for season 9.

It is An American supernatural teen drama television series, which is developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec. The story is based on the popular book series of the same name by L.J.Smith. The season premiered on CW in 2009. The last season they premiered in 2017. The entire series had 171 episodes.

Initially, Kevin had no interest in developing the story, but Julie insisted him to read the book. As he read the book, he got hooked to the story. “I began to realize that it was a story about a small town, about that town’s underbelly and about what lurks under the surface,” he stated in an interview.

The storyline of the series was a super hit among the audience and received many awards. Season 1 had an average of 3.60 million viewers.
