Early Life:

Tyson Fury was born to Amber and John, Irish parents, in August 1988 in Wythenshawe, Manchester, England. He was born prematurely one month ago.

Mike Tyson was the unbeaten, undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. His mother gave birth to a daughter when Tyson was 9, who died a couple of weeks after being born. He started channelling his frustration into boxing. His father had trained him and would continue to act as his trainer until he went to prison in 2011. Tyson left school at the age of 11, joining his father and three brothers as labourers on tarmac roads.

Boxing Career:

The Olympic Games’ opportunity to compete for Ireland had been denied to Fury. But after tracing his ancestry to Belfast, he had been permitted to fight for Ireland and Great Britain. As an amateur, in 2008, he captured the ABA championship. In December 2008, Fury made his professional boxing debut when he beat Bela Gyongyosi. He beat John McDermott in November 2009 to win the British Heavyweight belt. In June 2010, Fury beat McDermott once again to claim the vacant English Heavyweight title. He defeated Dereck Chisora to win the British and Commonwealth Heavyweight championships in July 2011. Martin Rogan gave Fury the Irish Heavyweight title in 2012, the Vinny Maddalone’s WBO Inter-Continental Heavyweight title in 2012, the Dereck Chisora’s European, and the WBO World Heavyweight title in 2014.

Klitschko Fight:

In 2015, the stars aligned to make Tyson face off against Wladimir Klitschko in a world heavyweight championship battle for the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, Lineal, and The Ring heavyweight championships. The fight took place in Dusseldorf, Germany, on November 28, 2015. At 4 to 1 odds, Klitschko was the overwhelming favourite. The match had gone the way. Fury was declared the unanimous winner after 12 rounds. For his job, Fury earned $7 million, while Klitschko earned about $23 million.

With 18 knockouts, the victory took Fury’s record to 25-0 and set him up for what should have been an enormous payday from a Klitschko rematch. In April of 2016, the rematch had been confirmed. Fury followed, sadly, to raise 100 pounds. Tyson was declared “medically unfit” for the war in September 2016. After a drug test for cocaine allegedly failed, the action was postponed a second time.

Return to the Ring:

Tyson took the next 2 + years off after vacating his world titles while he got his life back on track. With a victory over Sefer Seferi, he returned to the ring in June 2018. He beat Francesco Pianeta in August 2018.

The first time Tyson faced off against Deontay Wilder was in December 2018. $4 million was guaranteed to Deontay for the fight, while $3 million was, guaranteed to Tyson. The bout, which eventually won both fighters about $10 million, ended in a draw. Incredibly, Tyson announced that he had intended to donate his entire paycheck to charity shortly after the fight.

Tyson beat Tom Schwarz by TKO in June 2019. He defeated Otto Wallin by a unanimous decision in September 2019.

 Personal Life:

When he was 17, and she was 16, Tyson met Paris Mulroy. Both are from Gypsy Catholic communities. They married in 2008, and now they have five children together. They reside in Morecambe, Lancashire.
