Good news for fans of Netflix’s Top Boy as the streaming giant has officially renewed the show for a fourth season. Top Boy Season 3 was revived six years after the release of season 2, courtesy of Rapper Drake. The last season left viewers with many questions, and the police are more determined than ever to put Dushane behind bars.
Here’s what we know about the new season:
Top Boy Season 4 Release Date
Netflix has confirmed on Twitter that the show will resume filming in the spring of 2020, which means the release might come sometime mid-2021.
The show was initially set to release in September 2020, but the pandemic caused production to stop, pushing the release by almost an entire year.
What Will Happen in Top Boy Season 4?
Not much cleared about season 4’s storyline. One thing is for sure, though, and that is we will see more of Dushane and Sully as they rule the Summerhouse.
The duo might also team up with Jamie, who used to be a foe but has a lot of experience working in the drug industry. Even Dushan gave Jamie a way to get out of prison after Jamie took the blame from his brother following Summerhouse’s raid on his home in which a gun was found in one of the bedrooms.
How Did Season 3 End?
Dushane and Sully manage to get the better of Jamie as they go up against him, although he always seemed to be one step ahead of the duo. The two managed to get Jamie locked up and claimed the streets for themselves.
Sully ends up killing his long-time friend Dris after learning he has betrayed his trust, and Lizzie changes allegiances by siding with Dushane over Jamie.
In the end, however, Dushane ends up wanting to work alongside Jamie and offers to get him out of prison if Jamie agrees to an alliance.
