As per the details mention on Marvel’s website Thor: Love and Thunder will release on February 28, 2022. However, the release date might get delayed as the production of the upcoming sequel is in halt due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Shooting staff, directors, and actors are in lockdown amid COVID-19 outbreak in order to protect themselves from catching the infection. Nearly, every movie and tv series that is in the shooting phase will witness delayed launch by at least six months.

Director Waititi once revealed he is taking inspiration from the Marvel Comics series The Mighty Thor by Jason Aaron and artist Russell Dauterman, for Thor 4. “That storyline is incredible is full emotion, love and thunder and introduces for the first time female Thor,” Waititi said. “We do touch on Korg’s culture. Where he’s from… if you look in the comics about Kronans, it’s an interesting thing about where they come from.”
Chris Helmsworth gave an insight into the upcoming sequel during an Instagram live session. “It’s one of the best scripts I’ve read in years,” Chris said. “It’s Taika at his most extreme, and at his best. If the version I read is the one we get running with, it’s going to be pretty insane. It’s one of those ones where I can’t wait to do it,” he further added. “There’s so many great, great things in it. It’s so over the top now, in the very best way. It makes Ragnarok look like a really run-of-the-mill, very safe film.
“This new film feels like we asked 10-year-olds what should be in a movie, and then we said yes to every single thing. Space sharks, if you know anything about the comics… That’s all I’m gonna say… Space sharks.”
