Netflix is certain about releasing the next instalment for The Witcher.
When Game of Thrones came to its ultimate conclusion, the fans were left with next to nothing to watch. The fans were distraught at the thought of not being able to wait for yet another season to their thriller, drama-based series. Just when we thought that there’s not much to look forward to, we had The Witcher come in. The series represents a story that follows the same levels of nudity and action as Game Of Thrones did. The fantasy featured an interesting storyline and a strong cast, thereby, resulting in massive audience following. The first season released towards the end of 2019. It took little to no time for the online-streaming platform to announce that they are planning on releasing the next season to The Witcher soon.

The Witcher Season 2 Release Date
According to numerous reports online, The Witcher Season 2 was announced even before the fall of the first season. However, these were just plans in the hatching. There was no official confirmation coming from the side of Netflix, as far as the second season is concerned. It was in February, 2020 that Netflix finally decided to make their plans of renewing the season official. The production team behind the series had even begun work on the series in the same month. However, due to the current Coronavirus situation, we were able to understand that the series had faced a halt. The production team had to postpone many of their dates for filming, as a result of the restrictions. If rumours are believed to be true, The Witcher season 2 is expected to release some time in 2021. However, this too, depends on whether the production team is able to resume the filming in time.
