Vampire Diaries fans are still hoping for the renewal of a season 9. However, it’s not such good news for the fans as the show has concluded with season 8. Moreover, season 8 ended with no cliff- hangers or loopholes. It also involved death and happy endings. Majority of the fans are content with how the show ended but has been missing the vampires ever since. A spin-off of the show is also on its way.
Vampire diaries released on September 10, 2019, and continued till March 10, 2017. Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec developed the show. It is based on Vampire Diaries by L.J.Smith. The sequel concluded with 8 seasons and 171 episodes. The original language is English. The show has succeeded in collecting a large viewership and had mixed reviews when it was first launched. For most the first episode had them hooked to the show with its script, cast and interesting events.

Plot
The show is set in a town in Virginia called the Mystic Falls, Virginia. Vampire Diaries follows the life of a teenager named Elena Gilbert. She had lost her parents in a car accident. However, as she recovers from the death of her parents, she is attracted to a new student in her college and they instantly fall in love. He belongs to the Salvatore family. Elena later finds out that Stefan Salvatore is actually a 162-year old vampire.
Damon, Stefan’s brother comes back to keep his promise of giving Stefan an eternity of misery. He also falls in love with Elena as she resembles the two Salvatore brother’s, old love. This leads to a love triangle between them. Elena is forced to the supernatural world where she now has to deal with other vampires and problems with the help of her friends. Vampire Diaries presents to us a world of vampires, vampire hunters and other supernatural beings along with its splendid plot which gets us hooked to it.
