Fans have long waited for the release of American superhero web television series The Umbrella Academy season 2 that is based on the comic book series of the same name. It seems they have to wait a bit longer in order to land their eyes on the famous series. Launched back in 2019, The Umbrella Academy was an instant hit and viewers liked the story of a dysfunctional family of adopted sibling superheroes who reunite to solve the mystery of their father’s death and the threat of an impending apocalypse.
As per the data revealed by Netflix, the first season was watched by 45 million households within the first four weeks of the launch. The humongous numbers encouraged the streaming giant to go with the season that should have launched in February 2020, but it didn’t. In fact, fans hoped that Netflix might update the information on the release of The Umbrella Academy season 2 in its first-quarter reports of 2020, but it didn’t.
In the March report, Netflix mentioned the release of several shows including Dead to Me season 2, Grey’s Anatomy season 16, Riverdale season 4 and The Flash season 6, but there wasn’t no mentioning of The Umbrella Academy season 2. Fans were shattered after not finding the name of one of the most popular American superhero series in May release.
Since most of the shows are getting delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it seems that fans who already have waited for over a year now will have to wait for another couple of quarters before they can get a chance to see The Umbrella Academy season 2.

All of the Hargreeves kids will be back, which means returns for Vanya (Ellen Page), Luther (Tom Hopper), Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Klaus (Robert Sheehan), Diego (David Castañeda), Number Five (Aidan Gallagher), and Ben (Ethan Hwang), who played an increasingly more central role towards the end of the first season. Also, there will be addition of a few new characters in the upcoming season as Umbrella Academy once revealed from their official twitter handle.
