The Stranger season 1: Ending
Corrine was murdered during the course of the events in the first season of The Stranger and it is revealed by the end that it was actually Tripp who had committed the crime and had buried her at a reservoir. Corinne had planned to expose his dark secrets about taking away the football club cash. As Corrine knew of him, he tries to stop her and hits her head with a hammer which kills her. Hence, this episode explains why Corrine has gone missing and who was behind all of this.
