The Sim 5: Release date and details

The fans have been waiting for an online multiplayer game mode for a few years now. As per the latest announcement made by EA that The Sims 5 online multiplayer is a real option. A new star expansion is making its way to the title.

The CEO of EA also hinted that the multiplayer game could focus more on social features. These features will translate in multiplayer mode for many players in the Sim community. In an interview, the CEO also quoted that ‘notion of social interactions and competition like the kind of things that were actually present in The Sims Online many years ago […] will start to become a part of The Sims experience in the years to come.’ This clearly indicates that the game will have an online multiplayer mode.

Players will be able to other players’ creation and this will make the game more interesting. This could also trigger some sabotage which is similar to Minecraft. The players would also probably get the chance to hang out together in the same way we do in Animal Crossing New Horizon players.

New Features and updated graphics Sim 5

It has been already confirmed by EA that Sim 5 will have the best graphics and more customized options. In an interview, the CEO also said: “As Maxis continues to think about The Sims for a new generation across platforms and a cloud-enabled world, you should imagine that while we will always stay true to our inspiration, escape, creation, self-improvement motivation, that this notion of social interaction and competition… will start to become part of the ongoing The Sims experience in the years to come.”

Over the years many Sim players have complained that have to use Origin to play the game. Sim 4 has made its way to Steam so even Sim 5 will also follow the same.

The Sims 5 Release Date

Till now no official date has been announced. It’s unlikely that it will release this year.
