The Shannara Chronicles is an American fantasy television drama series created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The series is adapted from the book trilogy titled, The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks.

The series, The Shannara Chronicles, debuted on MTV in the USA on 5 January 2016, consisting of 10 episodes. The first season of the series was a huge success among the audience for its fantastic and engaging story.

In the year 2016, MTV renewed the series for its second season but the producer of the series announced to relocate the series on a different channel. The new channel for the new season of the series was Spike. Season 2 of The Shannara Chronicles premiered from 11 October 2017 to 22 November 2017.

They must go on a journey with the guidance of Allanon, to save the land from the demons who are coming back to the forbidden land.

Unfortunately, The Shannara Chronicles has been cancelled for its third installation. The producers called it off because the second season of the series was a perfect conclusion to the Shannara Chronicles. Despite the huge success and attract a large audience, the series has been cancelled. The reason that’s been known to the audience is the producers were low on budget, and the second season got a low rating.
