We expect the original cast of The Punisher to return with its third instalment.

Marvel fans on Netflix have had a tough time in the recent past with most of the major titles meeting its demise. For example, we know that numerous Netflix shows such as Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Daredevil and Jessica Jones have been cancelled by the online-streaming platform. The drastic manner in which the series were being cancelled has led many fans to wonder what might entail the fate for The Punisher.

As can be recalled, the second season of The Punisher released in January, 2020. There were a lot of speculations surrounding the show back then as well. This time, though, it is certain that the third season of the show will not feature on Netflix. The good news amidst this is that we might see Disney+ airing some of the titles, including the third season of The Punisher.

Here’s everything that you need to know about the third season of The Punisher

The Punisher Season 3 Cast Members

Among the cast members, who are expected to return with this show, includes the names of actors like Jon Bernthal, Amber Rose Revah and Jason R Moore. As far as Jon Bernthal is concerned, we already know that he has done a good job at bringing Frank Castle on the screen. In fact, we cannot imagine a show without this character for sure. If Castle returns on screen, we know that Dinah Madani and Curtis ‘Curt’ Hoyle will return too, as they are close associates of Castle. Other than the main cast mentioned above, we will also be seeing the following actors return in their respective roles:

  • Josh Stewart will be reprising his role as John Pilgrim
  • Giorgia Whigham will be returning in the role as Amy Bendix
  • Floriana Lima will be returning as Krista Dumont (even though, the actress was left to be paralysed)
  • Ebon Moss-Bachrach may feature as David Leiberman/Micro
  • Jaime Ray Newman is expected to play David’s wife, Sarah Lieberman

The Punisher Season 3: What Is The Fate of The Daredevil?

Frank Castle caused quite a ruckus last time when he made his screen-debut for Daredevils’ second season. This led many of the fans to see the entrance of Charlie Cox during one of the episodes of The Punisher as well. The fans were hoping to see Matt Murdock or in his form as the alter-ego.

Check out Frank Castle’s entrance in Daredevil:

In a recent interview with Heroic Hollywood, showrunner Steve Lightfoot – while talking about the possible crossover – stated, “Obviously, Daredevil and Punisher have a lot of history and story between them in the comic books. So it would be great to dig into some of that. Also villains like the Kingpin who were featured in quite a lot of the Punisher books as well. So it would be fantastic to get some of those guys back into the show, if we can make it work.”
