The Handmaid’s Tale is an American dystopian web series created by Bruce Millers. The series is based on the novel of the same title by the Canadian author, Margaret Atwood. The storyline of The Handmaid’s Tale revolves around the period of Second American Civil War in a totalitarian society where fertile women were the subject and known as Handmaids, we’re called to bear the child who was a kind of slavery back then.
The first season of The Handmaid’s Tale was huge success premiered in the year 2017. Hulu renewed it for another season of 10 episodes which was released on 25 April 2018. The second season kept the fans eager for the third season, and looking at the interest and love of the fans for the series Hulu renewed the show for its third season in May 2018, and premiered on 5 June 2019.
The show has been received positively by the critics and appreciated by the audience globally. It has received eight Emmy Prime Time Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. In September 2019, the director announced there would be a sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale which will be based on the 2019 novel of Margaret Atwood titled, Testament.
After a massive success of the third season of The Handmaid’s Tale, Hulu renewed it for the fourth season on July 2019, and it will arrive by 2021. The delay in the arrival of the fourth season of The Handmaid’s Tale is due to the sudden outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
Plot of The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4
Recently, The Handmaid’s Tale has finished airing on Hulu it’s the third season. The plot for the next season hasn’t been announced yet, but it is anticipated that it will pick up from the finale of the last season’s episode. The ending of season three’s previous episode was a cliff-hanger where the viewers saw June escaping with the help of her fellow handmaids, along with June the children also managed to flee to Canada, and even Serena got arrested. So, it will be interesting to see how the plot unravels in the next season of The Handmaid’s Tale.

The cast of the fourth season of The Handmaid’s Tale is not revealed yet, but it is anticipated that the cast of the third season will reprise their respective roles. They are as follows, Elisabeth Moss, Alexis Bledel, Yvonne Strahovski, Joseph Fiennes, Ann Dowd, Madeline Brewer, Samira Wiley, Amanda Brugel, Bradley Whitford, and few others. There might be some new characters in the brand-new season which is not yet known.
