The expanse season 5 will hit the screens soon! The new season of the series was renewed on July 27, 2019. The team had wrapped up the filming process before the pandemic. However, the series requires much work in the visual effects area which the team could not do due to pandemic restrictions. The expanse season 5 is expected to launch at the end of this year or early 2021. The long wait for the fans is finally over after season 4 which was released on December 12, 2019.
This science-fiction drama first released on December 14, 2015. The series released its seasons from 2015-2018 in Syfy and was then taken over by Prime video from 2019. The series is based on a science fiction novel The expanse by James S. A Corey. The expanse is developed by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby. It has finished 4 seasons with 46 episodes. Overview
The show is set two hundred years in the future, it’s the 24th century. The expanse follows a very interesting plot, something which is actually a future possibility. Firstly, the solar system is now colonized. Earth has colonized Mars which has now become independent. There are conflicts existing between the two planets. As a result, three groups now exist which are the Earthers, Martians and the belters. Along with this, there have been massive changes in the earth and the people have given up, while the people of Mars are trying to recreate a new world.
The Expanse begins by showing detective Josephus Miller from the asteroid belt being sent on a mission to find a missing young woman, Julia. The ship sent from earth has been attacked and the attackers were identified as Martians. All of this has increased the tension between the U.N and the Martian government. However, the diplomat and powerful United Nation executive are trying his best to avoid wars and bring peace between the two planets. They find out that the missing woman and the protomolecules the attack on the ship is all part of a plan that poses a threat against humanity.
Furthermore, season 5 of The expanse is based on James Corey’s famous Nemesis Games. The season is expected to increase the conflicts between the two planets and give us an insight into the personal lives of the characters.
