Overview:
The Expanse is a science-fiction TV show based on the novels of the same name written by James S.A Corey. The show is set in a dystopian future in which humanity has colonised every planet in the solar system, with each planet having it’s own independent government. Of these, the governments of Earth and Mars are the prominent superpowers.
Season 5 of The Expanse has officially been confirmed. Portals to new habitable worlds have opened up, practices such as terraforming are obsolete. The Roci crew goes to Ilus to stop the protomolecule. Tensions between RCE and The Belters Reach a tipping point. Season 4 of The Expanse took its viewers on one hell of a rollercoaster ride, but now with that out of the way, the question on everyone’s mind is when Amazon Prime will release season 5. The hype in its anticipation is getting more intense by the day, and fans might not have to wait much longer.
Which Book It is Based On:
The ending of season 4 took a page out of Nemesis Games, ending with Marco’s attack on Earth. Season 5 will pick up the story from this point.

The Expanse Season 5 Release Date:
Although an official release date has not announced by streaming platform Amazon Prime, viewers can expect the new season to release as soon as December 2020. The ongoing pandemic is not likely to cause a delay in release because filming and production for the new season were already wrapped up the last February, just like it happened the previous year with season 4.
