Netflix is preparing itself for the release of their next, mega-buster action-thriller original movie starring some of the best talents that the Hollywood industry has to offer. This exciting original movie, it seems, has been based on a very popular gaming series that goes by the same name. The screen-play of the upcoming film has been taken care by Rafe Judkins. There is a lot more to look forward to, except for what Rafe Judkins has to offer as we also have David Leitch, who has been included as the director of the upcoming movie. For those who are unaware, Leitch is known to direct titles like ‘Deadpool 2’ and ‘Fast & Furious’ spin-off called ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ which is expected to release soon as well.
The Division Netflix Release Date
It goes without saying that there is still time to the release of the upcoming movie. The production of the film is yet to commence. Given that the current Coronavirus situation has ended up causing a major delay in most of the industries, it appears like the production of The Division has also been delayed. It is highly likely that the production of the upcoming movie will only begin once the dangers of the current Coronavirus situation resolves. We are expecting the movie to release in early 2022. It will reportedly take the cast and crew members of the film to complete the project in a year’s time. However, it is worth noting that Ubisoft is currently planning on releasing the third instalment of the video game franchise some time soon as well. What this would also mean is that we will be seeing further instalments to the series as well. Apart from this, it is also highly possible that the video-game series and the film will release just around the same time. This will end up bringing a lot more reception than it originally would, which is definitely a good news for the creators of the film.
The Division Plot-line
The storyline of the upcoming project is expected to follow the same basic storyline that has been featured in the video game as well. It is a futuristic theme and there is a devastating virus that is terrorizing the citizens of New York. It is a black Friday and everyone is in a state of paranoia. The spread has taken place through paper money and it is becoming increasingly impossible to curb the spread of the disease. The virus is expected to remain confined within the walls of the city, however, it will end up devouring the whole place, unless something is done about it. New York City is expected to be in a state of destruction, unless something is done by the officials.
The filming of The Division is currently in active development, as per reports. It isn’t expected to begin until late 2020 or 2021. It will usually take place in areas of the United States of America, including New York City as well.
