The Blacklist Season 8: Will there be any further delay on filming?

NBC network declared on 20th February the season for an 8th, which will probably release on 13th November 2020. But In August, the show was “close to starting production” As the filming for the eighth season resumed after taking all the procedures and safety calculations and began back in mid-September 2020, and currently working on the story in New York City.

A glimpse of blacklist summary

Blacklist is an action thriller series which is directed by Jon Bokenkamp and also a spin-off is released in the name of ”blacklist: Redemption.

Raymond ”red” Reddington the former US NAVAL investigative authority who had vanished for 20 years and had a relation with terrorists and became one of the FBI ’10 most wanted criminals. Suddenly he withdraws and surrenders to the FBI Assistant Director at the Jedgar Hoover Building in Washington, D.C, and declares himself to help the FBI track down the terrorists who are aiming to exploit the nation’s safety and status.

Will there be any further delay in the release of Blacklist 8?


As per the plan; if the production made up to the time; then the series would be expected to fall on the scheduled date, if not then probably we can foresee it in the early or mid of 2021.

 The co-executive of NBC network declared openly about Blacklist Season 8 that “Congratulations to our amazing producers, cast and crew, all of whom continue to work at the top of their game and make The Blacklist one of NBC’s signature series.”We expect the plot of season 8 covers the story of Red and Liz’s story said by Katz and Pakosta, the co-executive of NBC. 

John Eisendrath shared his talks on the blacklist 8 “this year we have all the big stuff that we were unable to finish at the end of the last season that is going to start this season. so, the next season 8 stats in a much more heightened and dramatic place than normal seasons do because we are gonna tell the story that we were unable to tell at the end of the last season”.

Each episode ends with a cliffhanger that leads to the stage for the next sequence.
