Netflix is apparently going to take up for the production of season 2 of the series The A-List. Co-creator of the show, Nina Metivier revealed that BBC dropped the show immediately after the release of season 1. But Netflix is looking forward to picking up the show for another season.
Nina Metivier told in an interview, “[The A List] was picked up by Netflix for worldwide and now they’re looking at a second series.” Besides, The A-List, Netflix has also picked up the series, The Witcher for a second season.
The A-List is produced by Lionsgate-Backed Kindle Entertainment, and the first season has a total of 13 episodes. The series was originally commissioned for the BBC’s streaming service iPlayer, and after season 1, BBC dropped this show. The A-List appeared on an iPlayer in October 2019. Netflix picked up the show in July last year.
What can we expect from season 2 of The A-List?
The series follows the plot of Mia ( Lisa Ambalavanar). She arrives at an idyllic summer camp and is set to assume the position of Queen Bee. But this vacation of hers turns into a nightmare. After Amber ( Ellie Duckles) arrives, who has a quite mysterious demeanor, everything turns upside down for Mia. The show is shot on the Scottish west coast.
The show revolves around psychological tension and that of betrayal amongst teens. The cast includes

What happens at the end of season 1 of The A-List?
The mystery about Midge’s (Indiana Ryan) death, who is thought to have died after falling from the island’s cliffs is central to season 1 of the series. But the island occupants don’t know that Midge is alive and the experimental drugs to which she is administered, not only saves her life but gives her strange new abilities.
Amber is under the control of Midge. Amber shuns Mia all this while, as Midge is strangely controlling Amber. And season 1 ends in a major cliffhanger moment in which Midge reveals herself to be alive which will set up the events for season 2.
