The story revolves around – Kara Danvers aka Supergirl, Superman’s biological cousin is seized to reveal her hidden powers and protect the citizens when an unexpected disaster thumps National City.
Season 9 of the American TV show Supergirl, which is based on the DC Comics character Kara Zor-El, released on The CW on the 6th of October 2019 and consisted of 19 chapters. It is produced in the Arrowverse, sharing continuity with the other TV show of the franchise. The season is produced by Berlanti Productions, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Television.
The season was premiered in January 2019. But it was initially planned to have 22 episodes, later taken down to 20 episodes. Shooting started that June and production were locked down in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, leaving the season with 19 episodes.

When is Supergirl Season 5 Episode 19 airing?
The Supergirl 5th season finale, which it must be noted was not meant to be the season finale, but instead the penultimate scene of the season. The episode is named – Immortal Kombat, which will air on the 17th of May. It was directed by David Harewood, who plays J’onn on the show.

Supergirl realizes that to stop Leviathan and Lex must work with the one person she never thought she could trust again – (Lena) Katie McGrath. (Nia) Nicole Maines keeps dreaming about (Brainy) Jesse Rath but struggles with what the dreams are trying to tell her. Meantime, Brainy earns there is one & only one way to stop Lex.

Lex continues to lay an intricate plan to bring Lena closer to him, defeat Leviathan’s attack, and pit Supergirl and crew against Leviathan. It is also unveiled how Lex came into power after Crisis.

- The Missing Link
Supergirl and her team fight against Leviathan and Rama Khan; Lex and Lena work collectively after Project Non-Nocere aborted.
Part 5, Episode 19
- Immortal Combat
She realizes that to stop Leviathan and Lex she should work with the one person she never thought she would trust again i.e., Lena. Nia dreams consistently about Brainy but struggles to figure out what the dreams are trying to convey. Meanwhile, Brainy realizes there is only one way to stop Lex.
