Stree: Will there be a second part of the movie?

Stree is a 2018 Indian horror comedy movie directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Maddock Films. The movie was released in India on 31 August 2018, and it was received positively by the critics and audience. There were some mixed responses about the movie’s plot, and it was praised for its performance and writing. Stree became a huge commercial hit movie with earning Rs. 180 crore where the budget of the movie was Rs.23 crore. It has also received 10 big nominations at the 64th Filmfare Awards and won the Best Debut Director for Amar Kaushik.

The plot of the movie, Stree is based on the Indian Folk tale about a female witch who abducts men at night when they are alone and only leaves their clothes behind. It is known that the movie is based on Karnataka’s legend folk tale called Nale Ba, which translates into English as ‘come tomorrow’.

Will there be a second part of Stree?

Stree has received a lot of appreciation from the audience for its writing, acting, direction, and soundtracks. It even crossed 100 crore at the box-office. However, it has been known that the makers of the movie are thinking about a sequel. Well, it is not officially known or announced anything about the second part of Stree.

The first movie concluded on a perfect note, and it was the intended ending by the makers. The plot for the sequel will be a surprise for the audience, as no one can correctly anticipate the plot because the ending of the first movie was not a cliffhanger. So, it is not known what will be the sequel about, but it is guaranteed that it will be more funny and interesting than the first one.

It is known that the makers are going to replace the actor who played the protagonist in the first movie, Rajkumar Rao with Varun Dhawan. It is not yet confirmed. Besides that,

all the cast members from the first movie will reprise their roles most probably that includes, Shraddha Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana, Abhishek Banerjee, Atul Srivastava, and few others.
