Netflix has officially decided to renew its popular, science-fiction series with a fourth season. While this was confirmed last year itself, there’s news for fans worldwide. They have also begun the production. While there is much speculation around the release date of the series, most of this news must be taken with a grain of salt. Recently, Netflix released the first teaser trailer of the fourth season. The teaser confirms the return of Hopper.
As can be recalled, the last season concluded with Hopper seeming to have sacrificed his life in the effort to protect the town family. With the new teaser confirming the return of Hopper, fans are convinced that the fourth season will be a thriller one. The teaser sets Hopper in a very unusual background. He is set against a Russian prison that is assumed to have been followed through after the final events that took place in the finale.
Netflix’s official spokesperson, Momita SenGupta has described the series to be bigger, bolder and more intricate than ever before. Majority of the shooting for the film has taken place in New Mexico. However, the previous seasons are based in Atlanta. All the production has come to a pause owing to the current pandemic that overshadows the world. The shooting has been paused until further notice.

Strangers Things 4 Release Date
As far as the release date of the upcoming season is concerned, the Duffer Brothers have hinted that they might consider the 2021 Halloween for the series. As far as the historical timeline of the series is concerned, they have had a pattern of releasing new series with a gap of one to two years. The production had already begun in March this year but since we have come to a standstill due to the current Coronavirus situation, it is quite obvious that they may have to push the release date further away.
Stranger Things 4 Cast and Other Details
There are a lot of new faces that will be coming with the new season. Along with usual Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink and Joe Keery, we have Maya Hawke coming through too. Online reports have further suggested that the season is expected to be divided into two parts. The second part may be the fifth season that they are referring to. They have also confirmed the first episode of the fourth season. As per what was suggested on ‘The Strangers Things’ writers’ account, the first episode of the season 4 will be called ‘The Hellfire Club.’
The latest update on ‘Strangers Things’ season 4 suggests that the main characters, Jonathan and Will’s dad, are expected to make an appearance. What kind of plot-twist his appearance will be making is not known as yet. However, he won’t be playing a major part in influencing the outcome of the new season.
