If you are a tech enthusiast, you definitely know that Apple is going to launch three new iPhone models of which, a 6.1” LCD iPhone dubbed as the cheapest among the three is speculated to support dual-SIM with a separate tray for second SIM card. But as per a new reported from Taiwan, Apple will indeed release an iPhone with dual-SIM support but it will be limited to China only.
The report further elaborates that there are actually four iPhone models to be launched i.e. 6.1” LCD iPhone XS/11 explained above, 5.8” OLED iPhone X, and 6.5” OLED iPhone X Plus that supports single SIM card but the second variant for 6.1” LCD iPhone will sport dual-SIM support that will be launched in China.
This is because China is one of the largest markets for Apple. It accounts for less than one-fifth of the total smartphones in China while a major chunk of smartphones sold in China is bigwigs like Huawei and Xiaomi and likes. Apple is trying to establish a stronger foothold in the Chinese market by introducing a dual-SIM support iPhone which is estimated to be priced between $650 to $750 according to a different source.
All the upcoming models will host an iPhone X-like appearance with an edge-to-edge display with a notch and FaceID, however, the cheaper variant of upcoming iPhone might not have both these features along with Force Touch in order to bring down the cost of the iPhone. Apple will hold a global launch event in September, something which it has been following ever since its iPhone 5 was launched in September 2012.
