The renewal status of the show is up in the air and cannot be predicted as of now. The team has not let out any information regarding the new season. However, it’s not all bad and we don’t have to lose hope yet. The creators had mentioned last year in an interview that they would not like to end the show and would love to continue doing it as much as they can. The cast of the series is ever ready to play the roles again. However, few of them, including the creators have been busy with other projects and so could not focus on the show. Along with this, the show also has a huge fan base which adds to the list of reasons why a new season is a must. If everything comes together, we can expect a new season to air between 2022-2023.

Sherlock is immaculate with his observational skills; he notices the tiniest details of a thing or person which is often ignored by most of us. However, he is not very emotional, he is also thought to be asexual. Sherlock has a partner named Dr John Watson who returned back from serving in the military as a Royal Army Medical Corps. He helps ordinary people, as well as the British Government, solves crimes. The other people who are recurring in his life are Mycroft, his elder brother, Molly Cooper who often assists him in cases and Mrs Hudson, his landlady. The last episode featured his sister, she’s a genius manipulator. The new season will show more of her and bring us more adventures and thrilling experiences.
Moreover, the main cast will return, and it includes Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes, Martin Freeman as Dr John Watson, Sian Brooke as Eurus Holmes, Una Stubbs as Mrs Hudson, Mark Gatiss as Mycroft along with new faces.
