Like many other stars, the Dolittle star also has come in the support for the Black Lives Matter movement. She took a major step and shut down her website for a day to follow ‘Blackout Tuesday.’
The 27-year-old star Selena Gomez also pleaded her followers to develop introspective thinking and sought mercy from George Floyd following the horrific death of the former football player by four cops on 25 May in Minneapolis.
In one of the statements on her website, Selena Gomez wrote that “It’s my hope today you are taking the time to do some introspective thinking about how we can all come together and listen to one another with an open heart and mind.” She also added that the country is long overdue for meaningful changes to our broken society, and each human irrespective of their color matters, the Black lives matter to us all. She ended the statement by tagging the following organizations, @blklivesmatter, @whenweallvote, @colorofchange, an @naacp.
Besides that, the actress Selena’s new Rare Beauty company also supported the Black Lives Matter movement and followed the blackout Tuesday. Actress’s company released a statement and said that “To our community, we are going dark tomorrow to take part in #BlackoutTuesday.” Not only this, but a picture of a black background was shared on Instagram.
The Black lives matter movement has impacted many people worldwide and some famous personalities like Ariana Grande, Cole Sprouse, Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, Diddy, Cardi B, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and many others.
