According to some news reports, Gerard Butler’s upcoming film Greenland would be out in theatres on July 31 in the US. Reportedly, this film is featuring Gerard Butler and the “Deadpool” star Morena Baccarin as the lead star cast. And it is directed by Ric Roman Waugh, who earlier worked with Butler on “Angel Has Fallen”, the third part of the actor’s “Olympus Has Fallen” film series.
There are some reports which suggest that Gerard Butler’s thriller “Greenland” was first scheduled to release in June. But, due to the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, like many other films and production, the release of this film also got postponed. And the film industries across the world came at a halt and suffered from a huge loss due to worldwide shutdown.
But now, all the economies around the world are slowly and constantly opening up, and businesses are restarting their operations. In the same manner, the makers of Greenland, reportedly, have decided to release this film on July 31 after getting a delay in its release for about one and a half months.
The film Greenland is written by the renowned writer Chris Sparling, and this is backed by STX Films. It has also been produced by Thunder Road Films. Some of our news sources suggested that the story of the forthcoming thriller, adventure film “Greenland” is all about the life of a family who is struggling for survival as the world is closer to its end.
The original release dates of their respective film had been postponed by the many Hollywood filmmakers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Movies such as Marvel Cinematic Universe film, No Time To Die, Black Widow, Fast and Furious 9, Mulan, A Quiet Place II, and many other have postponed their releases due to the lockdown, which also led to the closing of a movie theater.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that the release date of the film has been rescheduled by the many studios at the end of this year 2020 or the beginning of 2021.
However, the new release dates of their respective film have already been announced by the filmmakers, while many other filmmakers are too planning to announce the new release dates for the films.
