Riverdale seems to finally be returning with the fifth season after four seasons filled with a mix of suspense and mystery. The show’s next instalment can be expected to drop sometime in 2021. This is due to the delays caused by the ongoing pandemic pushed the date back.
The initial release of Riverdale was on January 26th 2017 and immediately roped in a large fanbase. Since the show also follows the same characters as the much-loved comic series Archie, the show brings a feel-good factor to its plot. Roberto Aguirre Sacasa developed this show. However, despite its ties to the comics, the show follows a very dark path with twisted murders and several lies.

Plot
Riverdale comes under the genre of teen drama as it follows a familiar-sounding group of high school students that comic book lovers will know very well. This group comprises of Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica. The four friends continuously find themselves in shady situations and end up in them, making several significant revelations in accordance with the present mysteries.
The show also brings in an emotional side to the front with several tales of romance in between. The fifth season is expected to solve several important details which have been keeping us in suspense for a long time now. After it was revealed that Jughead didn’t actually die and was actually just knocked out towards the end of season 4, several new questions arise regarding Donna and how she manipulated Betty. So, it looks like there is sure to be a lot of juicy bits to the next season.
