here has no official information regarding this, but it was expected initially that the production of Season 2 would begin by the end of 2020, but due to ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it got delayed. Now, it is expected that Bodyguard Season 2 will be out by the beginning of 2021 or by the end of 2020.

In season one of Bodyguard, we see David being the Bodyguard of Home Secretary Julia Montague. David is torn between his duty and beliefs. We see that Julia is killed in some bomb explosion, and David is accused of it. He tries to prove himself innocent and succeeds, leaving no hint behind for season 2.
