Netflix is working on bringing in the classic characters with a new series.
In a recent turn of events, online-streaming platform Netflix has hinted towards their plans of reviving a classic character from the history of television and cinema. Along with Netflix, it is the very famous Ryan Murphy who is working alongside them to ensure that this reunion is made possible. He is the main guy, apparently, who has actively worked towards bringing in Sarah Paulson out of the American Horror Story series and join Netflix in their new venture with Ratched. The first season of the highly-anticipated Ratched is expected to release in September, 2020 and here is everything that we know about it.
Ratched Season 1: What Is It All About?
According to numerous reports, the series is expected the follow the life of character, Nurse Ratchet. For those who are unaware, Nurse Ratchet is a character from the classic novel from back 1962 called ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest.’ The same character had been brought to life later in 1975, in the form of a very massive hit movie. The character has also made a debut in ‘Once Upon A Time.’ The series, it appears will be following the original story primarily. However, it will probably also explore all the times when the monster had been hunting and exploiting the patients of a mental health care system.
Ratched Season 1: All Cast Members
It has been confirmed that Sarah Paulson is looking to lead the main story-line, as she will be playing the role of Nurse Mildred Ratched in the show. The actress is famous for many roles that are filled with horror. She has a long-standing work history with Ryan Murphy. The latest association was seen in the eighth season of American Horror Story. It is also worth pointing out that she was also a part of the very famous film, starring Sandra Bullock named Bird Box from earlier in 2018. In addition to Sarah Paulson, we are also expecting other actors such as Jon Jon Briones, Judy Davis, Charlie Carver and Finn Wittrock to be featuring in the series.
Ratched Season 1: Release Date
Originally, it seems that we were expecting the series to release in either late 2019 or early 2020. However, that did not take place. In fact, IMDb also ended up listing out most of the titles of the series along the way. At the same time, recent reports are now suggesting that the series may be released in September, 2020. This was later confirmed by Ryan Murphy in one of his recent interviews wherein he suggested that they are looking to release the first episode of Ratched in September, 2020. However, the exact date is currently unknown, so we wait for time to pass.
