Netflix has allegedly cancelled the third season of The Punisher.
As far as fans of the Marvel TV series are concerned, it has been quite an unfortunate time lately. Many of the famous on-going TV series have been pulled out of their succession. The list includes Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Daredevil and Jessica Jones. According to the latest reports circulating online, it seems like the third season of The Punisher has also met with the same fate. It is being reported that after just two seasons, Netflix has decided to cancel the series all together.
Why is Punisher Season 3 cancelled?
To recall, the second season of The Punisher had premiered back in January this year. The latest instalment was received with much enthusiasm and it goes without saying that fans were hopeful for another season. However, it seems like Netflix was the main reason behind getting the show cancelled. Netflix, as the show’s producer, decided that it was time for the series to end.
The Punisher Season 3 might launch on Disney+
It is highly likely that the third season of The Punisher may receive another producer. For those who are not aware, another free and new online streaming service, Disney+ was launched earlier this year. The streaming platform is known to showcase Marvel films and series. Viewers are treated with some never-seen-before projects and are excited by the thought of it. If rumours are believed to be true, it is highly likely that Disney+ might end up bringing The Punisher back by producing its third season.

In the previous season, Jon Bernthal surprised us all by performing his magic and bringing Frank Castle back. The fans were really upset at the thought of losing their beloved Frank Castle. Therefore, it was a good turn of events that Jon was able to bring him back. On the basis of this, we can remain assured that the third season will definitely be featuring these characters.
Other than that, we can expect Amber Rose Revah and Jason R Moore to reprise their roles as Dinah Madani and Curtis Hoyle respectively. These are the four main characters that have been speculated to return with the show’s next season. There are many other potential cast members that we can hope to see back on the screen. The list includes Josh Stewart, Giorgia Whigham and Floriana Lima.
