The infamous Japanese anime series Pokémon will be back with another series. The show is loved by everyone, no matter how old they are. The Pokémon series have so many spin offs and games. Introduction to Series
Pokémon is a Japanese animated series by The Pokémon Company. The franchise has seven series under its label, based on the Pokémon video game series. The first ever Pokémon series was released in April 1997. Since then, the show has become a huge success worldwide. Also, by 2016, Pokémon became one of the most widely watched shows on Netflix.
The story revolves around Ash Ketchum. Ash is a young Pokémon trainer, who wants to become a Pokémon Master. Hence he begins his journey with his Pokémon Pikachu. In order to become a Pokémon Master, Ash takes part in various Pokémon tournaments called Pokémon Leagues.
About Pokémon: Sword and Shield
Pokémon Sword and Shield are role play video games, where the player has to control their character. The game is created by Game Freak for The Pokémon Company and Nintendo. Certainly, the objective of the player is to defeat Pokémon League Champion Leon. Meanwhile, they also have to deal with team Yell and a conspiracy within the match.
Sword and Shield is set in Galar region, which is inspired by Great Britain. The Game has been loved by many. It also received positive reviews. The critics appreciated the simplicity of the game. However, the game also criticized for mot matching the standards of previous games.
Pokémon: Sword and Shield in Anime series
The famous Pokémon: Sword and Shield series is being featured in the new Pokémon series. According to the sources, the Pokémon anime will briefly return to its original format. The new Pokémon series called “Pokémon Journeys: The Series outside of Japan” is using a new format. In the series, Ash is taking part in World Coronation Series. During his journey, Ash will visit all the regions that have been featured in the franchise. In addition, Ash is joined by a boy named Goh, who wishes to catch every Pokémon in the world. Hence the upcoming story will focus on the plot line of Sword and Shield.

As per the game of Sword and Shield, the story will involve a giant pigeon destroying the Galar region. Consequently, Ash and Leon will join hands to bring the pigeon to peace. In addition, reports say that the Pokémon: Sword and Shield arc will promote Crown Tundra DLC. The latest poster anime features Mewtwo, Mew, Suicune, and Zapdos.
Also, according to the new format of the series, Ash will no more be the protagonist of the series. It is being said that the depiction of the Galar region is a great way to introduce more characters.
when will the Pokémon start its new Journey?
The series released in November 2019 in Japan. However, Netflix has the rights for the US release of the anime series Journeys. On April 23, 2020, The Pokémon Company International announced that Netflix has secured the U.S. rights for this and future seasons. Moreover, the show was released on Netflix on 12 September 2020. Hence, the first twenty-four episodes are currently available on Netflix. Also, further episodes are scheduled to be released quarterly.
