Pokemon Types are the core battles in Pokemon Go. Certain types are assigned to all Pokemon creatures and their moves. Each type has both strengths and weaknesses in both attack and defence. Knowing the type matchups is necessary so that each of your Pokemon moves causes maximum damage. A player should also know what their Pokemon is weak against which can keep the rivals from nocking them out.
