Moltres
Moltres has returned to Pokemon Go for a limited time period. It is back for the October events of the game. Moltres has appeared as a five-star raid boss since 2 October and will remain in the game till 9 October, 4 pm ET. However, the best chance to catch a Moltres is on Wednesday, when Niantic holds its weekly Raid hour event. It will give more opportunities to find and capture a Moltres.
Weaknesses of Moltres:
Moltres is a fire Pokemon, hence its mainly weak to a Rock Pokemon. Therefore, you may choose a rock Pokemon to battle Moltres. Certainly, rock Pokemon’s attack will be at least four times effective on Moltres. Moreover, the rock Pokemon can easily handle Moltres’ fire and flying attack. To be specific, we will recommend you to put Rhyperior, Golem, Tyranitar, and Terrakion to damage the legendary Moltres. However, water Pokemon like Blastoise and electric Pokemon like Zapdos will be super effective as well. On the other hands, do not bring grass or steel Pokemon against Moltres because they can be easily damaged by the legend.
Giratina Origin Forme
Giratina Origin Forme will also join the Pokemon Go in the upcoming weeks. It is a legendary Ghost and Dragon-type Pokemon. It has two forms- Altered Forme and Origin Forme. But this round is bringing back the Origin Forme from 9 October till 23 October.
Weaknesses of Giratina
Apparently, Giratina is weak to Ghost, Dark, Ice, Dragon and Fairy types. You can apply a group strategy by using Dragon and Ghost attacks, if you are working with other players. But if not, then you can use Ghost and Ice type counters. For instance, you can use Mega Houndoom, which not only will boost other Dark types, but has no weakness that Giratina could exploit.
As Giratina is weak to its own kind, you can use Rayquaza, which can take double damage from Giratina Origin Forme. Also, you can use Salamence, Mega Charizard, Dragonite, Palkia etc against Giratina.
Mega Houndoom
Mega Houndoom is a Dark and Fire type Pokemon. It is a devilish dog that can cause severe burns with its fierce breath. A mega Houndoom’s bite is way worse. Mega Handoom was brought to Mega raid on 29 September for the players to chase and capture.
Weaknesses of Mega Housndoom
Mega Houndoom is weak to Ground, Fighting, Rock and above all, Water attacks. However, a Mega Houndoom can easily deal with Fire and Dark type of damage. Hence, you must prioritize a water Pokemon to fight Mega Houndhoom. For instance, you may use Blastoise which can take half damage from Mega Houndhoom. Precisely, you should use Water Gun and Hydro Cannon attack for Blastoise. Additional Pokemon that you can use against a Mega Houndhoom are Kyogre, Rhyperior, Rampardos, Machamp etc.
