Ford vs Ferrari has been one of the highest-rated movies of 2019. It narrated the story of motorsports legend Ken miles, cast by Bale, who happened to have died in a car crash in 1966. The movie portrayed the famous car designer Carroll Shelby visiting Miles’s widow and son after his death. Ken Miles’ son, Peter Miles, made major contributions to the biopic, helping Bale prepare for the role.
Peter Miles was born on September 28, 1950, to Ken Miles and mother Mollie Miles. Ken Miles passed away when Peter was only 15. Peter was so fond of his father. He was right at Riverside Raceway in Southern California on August 16, 1966, when the mishap took place.
Ken Miller’s Tragic Death
Ken Miles was testing out the Ford “J Car”, although in its initial experimental stage before they could consider debuting it at the famous Le Mans race the following year. Minutes later, Ken and the car caught fire, and the pro-driver Miles was instantly spotted dead. The movie didnot throw light on how it happened skipped to Shelby visiting Peter and Mollie a few weeks. As reported, the accident happened due to a mechanical error rather than driver error.
Peter Miles ‘ career
Peter Miles has always looked upon his father and therefore, kept his father’s dream for motorsports alive. After his father’s demise, Peter started working in collaboration with his dad’s friend Dick Troutman and Barnes custom car shop in Culver City at the age of 14.
Peter, then began his career as a fabricator, later advancing to mechanics and then, the crew chief. He was the crew chief for off-road racing legend Ivan “Ironman” Stewart in 1991 when he won the 1991 Nissan 400 in Nevada. As per sources, Peter Miles was seen making a significant appearance at car shows, specifically in California. He also posed for the GT40, the car his father drove at Le Mans in 1966.
According to informations, Peter resides in Monterey, California. He is now the executive administrator of billionaire Chip Connor’s massive vintage car collection. The entire collection has a net worth of $80.0 million. In recent times, Peter also came up with a photo book on his father, Kens Miller. The book, further, contributed to the development of the character of Bale for the Ford v Ferrari film.

Peter was married to Patti Montgomery Miles from Somerset. The couple has given birth to a beautiful daughter named Jaime Miles. Jaime and her then-fiance, Jeff Moore, who tied her knot in grammy awards, without their family.
The couple organized a party with friends and family after their wedding in grammy awards. Jeff also shared on social media to invite people to join and tune in. The couple has a son now. While Jaime has left her job as a pre-school teacher to look after their household, Jeff continues to work as a radio producer.
